در این مقاله، گونهی Pygopleurus deuvei sp. n. از سخت بالپوشان خانوادهیGlaphyridae ، از ایران برای دنیای علم توصیف شده و با گونهی نزدیک به آن مورد مقایسه قرار میگیرد. این گونه در سفر تحقیقاتی مشترک محققان موزهی تاریخ طبیعی پاریس و بخش تحقیقات ردهبندی حشرات مؤسسه تحقیقات گیاهپزشکی کشور، در ماههای خرداد و تیر سال 1381 جمعآوری گردید. همچنین، لیستی از گونههای Pygopleurus Motschulsky و Eulasia Truqui که از ایران گزارش شدهاند، ارایه میگردد.
