Abstract

In the course of studying the saprophagous flies of Kermanshah province, the larvae of Drosophila busckii (Coquillett) and Megaselia scalaris (Loew) were collected on the moribund or dead larvae of Polyphylla olivieri Laporte in the orchards of Sahneh during 2008-2009. The adult specimens of D. busckii and M. scalaris were identified by Dr. Diseny (University of Cambridge) and Dr. Baechli (University of Zurich), respectively. The species D. busckii is newly reported from Iran.
