Journal of Entomological Society of Iran (Abbreviated title: J.Entomol.Soc.Iran) is a peer-reviewed research journal published quarterly by the Entomological Society of Iran (ESI). The JESI, the first and oldest scientific journal of Iranian entomology publications, has been publishing since 1973. The journal publishes original research papers, monographs, review papers, short communications, and/or scientific notes dealing with all branches of entomology.
The JESI is one of the core journals of the Islamic World Science Citation Database (ISC), which is also indexed in the WOS (Web of Science) database. The average period of the review process is about four weeks and the time to render a first decision averages about 10 days.
The journal complies with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) rules and regulations in publishing articles. The JESI was awarded top rank (A) among the scientific publications approved by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
