In the course of a faunistic survey, between 2008 and 2009, on the oribatid mites of Shendabad region in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan, the species Eulohmannia ribagai (Berlese) was collected and identified. The species and its associated family Eulohmanniidae are newly recorded from Iran.
