Abstract
The dwarf mantid genus Holaptilon Beier, 1964, is a group of small, apterous, ground-dwelling mantids distributed across the Middle East, with species described mainly from Israel, Jordan, Iran, and Turkey. Here, I present the first records of Holaptilon from Pakistan and Iraq, based on verified citizen-science photographs. These observations expand the known distribution of the genus eastward and highlight the role of citizen science in documenting elusive mantid taxa.
