Journal policies on authorship and contributorship

Authorship

All authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and validity of their research. The corresponding author must follow COPE rules (https://publicationethics.org/authorship)and confirm that all authors have read the MS and endorsed it before submission. Authors must also guarantee the originality of their work, ensuring that all material is the result of their research.

Any author has to assign based on the four criteria as defined by the ICMJES, International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.

1) substantial involvement in the design of the project, creation, contributions to the ideation or definition of the project; commentary, data analysis and their analysis or interpretation for the work.

2) preparing the early draft or working on the manuscript substantially to improve its content;

3) approving the final version of the manuscript;

4) responsible for any case related to the work and clarifying all questions about the in ensuring that questions related to the rightness or honesty of any issue aspect of the project are resolved in a proper manner (https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html).

Artificial intelligence (AI) and any other related technologies must not be credited as authors or co-authors of a manuscript.

 

Author's Contributions Statement

Every manuscript must include an "Author Contribution Statement" section corresponding to the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT). This section outlines each author's role in manuscript preparation and is positioned before the reference list. For CRediT roles, see https://credit.niso.org/. The JESI asks the author(s) to use these terms and provide a role statement: Conceptualization, Methodology, Formal analysis, Investigation, Draft preparation, Final review and edit, Visualization, Supervision, Project administration, and Funding acquisition.

 

Alteration to authorship

Any changes to the authorship after the initial submission, including additions, deletions, changes in the order of authors' names, or modifications to the attribution of contributions, must be approved by all authors and explained to the Editor. The Editor reserves the right to contact any of the authors and/or contributors to verify their agreement to any such alterations.

Acknowledgment

Non-author contributors who meet fewer than all aforementioned four ICMJE criteria for authorship but significantly contributed to the research should not be listed as authors, but they should be acknowledged.
