The psocid specimens were collected from Isfahan in 2009 and later identified as Liposcelis paeta Pearman and L. bostrychophila Badonnel (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae). The species L. paeta is recorded here for the first time from Iran. This finding increases the number of known Iranian members of the family Liposcelididae to five species.
